Review for Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg :)

Description : Brie's life ends at sixteen: Her boyfriend tells her he doesn't love her, and the news breaks her heart - literally. But now that she's in heaven, Brie is about to discover that love is way more complicated than she ever imagined. Back in Half Moon Bay, her family has begun to unravel. Her best friend knows a secret about Jacob, the boy she loved and lost - and the truth behind his shattering betrayal. And then there's Patrick, Brie's mysterious new guide and resident Lost Soul who's been D&G (dead and gone) much longer than she… and who just might hold the key to her forever after. With Patrick's help, Brie will have to pass through the five stages of grief before she's ready to move on… but how do you begin again, when your heart is still in pieces?

Review : HEARTSHATTERING! That's what this book is. This book was amazing. This author sure knew how to start a book and by starting a book I mean I was crying hysterically like a little baby! On the first page, now that's when you know you have to keep reading and hope it will get better and boy did it!!! I fell in love right away with the description, why the hell would you not try to read something about her heart actually breaking and killing her?! The twists, turns, this is a drama filled road to heaven.

I will start with Brie because she is super amazing and there is NO other character like her in the world. She is a down to earth realistic girl who wakes up dead from a broken heart literally her heart broke in half and she died. This book tells her story and I felt like I was her I was crying hysterically from page one and it did get better but not without drama! She is now just a ghost, watching everything unravel in front of her and cannot do anything to stop or help the ones she loves and then there is Patrick, who follows her on this journey and she feels like she knows him but doesn't know how. Then he starts telling her what she should be doing but she can't move on, she wants to be there and watch everything move on without her! Her heartbreaking road to moving on is touching, unbelieveable and just sad. She gets revenge on the boy who said he didn't love her and killed her, she thinks her best friend is betraying her, her dad is doing something so horrible she can't watch and there she is watching it all pass her by. She is a strong young girl and ghost and she is going to do something, she has to and I just love her enthusiasm I probably cried as much as I laughed throughout this book.

Onto Patrick mysterious, 80's boy who isn't moving on, is waiting for his one true love to meet him and when she's finally there BAM nothing happens, she doesn't remember him the way he thought she would. He hels Brie to to get through the 5 stages, and along that way he is a sarcastic jerk who is still hot as hell and funny. He is just plain amazing and everything he went through KILLED me! He is one of my favorite male characters because he gave up everything so the one he truly loved could live again and he would wait for her to come to him. He tries to help brie but he isn't helping hes pushing her away. Along the way they find their way back to eachother but is it too late?!

Back to Brie she gets to go back but not for long just one memory one chance to change the way things were. She doesn't look at anyone the same, she has to try and leave good memories so everything  stays raveled. Does she do it?!
